Bucharest, Romania October 31, 2005

Hello Everyone,

Since the last "Note From The Road", we have played in:

*Budapest, Hungary
*Zagreb, Croatia
*Belgrade, Serbia
*Bucharest, Romania

I think having cancelled the 2 Prague shows and having the 3 nights off really helped heal Phil's vocal cords. There wasn't anyway he could have done the Prague shows. I'm happy that we are able to go back there and make up the shows. Since then his voice has held out well for the 4 shows. We did shorten the set a bit so not to risk any additional strain on it. The audiences were wonderful at each show. It's great to look out there and see these happy faces singing along with everything. Even the most obscure songs. We haven't played most of these countries before, so the audience is really ready for us.......................as we are excited and ready to play for them!
At last nights show in Bucharest I had a first time experience. On "Easy Lover" just before my guitar solo, Phil says in a mocking wrestling announcer’s type voice, "on the electric guitar, please welcome Daryl Stuermer". I then run up to the front of the stage and begin my solo. To my surprise nothing came out of the guitar. First I checked my volume controls on the guitar and then checked to see if my guitar cord was in tight. The cord wasn't there. Then I looked back and there it was pulled out of my pedalboard and lying on the floor behind me. Phil looked down, smiled, and picked it up. He held it like he was holding a wilted leaf. We walked quickly back to where my pedalboard is. Then we both looked at each other and said in unison, "I don't know where to plug it into". We both laughed hysterically. Meanwhile the song was going on and my guitar tech (Dave Rule) was running on stage. I handed him the cable.

I'm writing this on our plane on the way to Athens, Greece for a night off and a show tomorrow night. We'll see how everything goes! Maybe I'll get another chance at the guitar solo I missed!!

Best Regards,

Daryl
