Phil Collins Tour Update: June 7, 2004

Hey Guys,

We've just finished 2 outdoor stadium shows in Zurich & Munich where "Mike & The Mechanics" opened the shows with 45 minute sets. They sounded great as expected. Paul Carrack's voice is gold. They have 2 guitars/ bass, keyboards, drums, 3 backing vocalists, & Paul on lead vocal (of course). I found out that they will now be with us for 9 shows. More than originally expected. Seeing Mike again makes me miss Genesis all over again. He's one of the good ones.

The audiences have been great every night. They inspire us to do the best we can. We can't let them down either. Tonight will be our 3rd show in a row which can be difficult on Phil's vocal cords. But as usual he is a trooper. He's the hardest working musician I know.   

We are on our way to Frankfurt for a indoor arena show (I'm on that old broken down plane again). Today is a sunny 80+ degrees. This would be a good night to do a outdoor concert but we always save the rainy days for outdoor shows.
