Phil Collins Tour Update: June 17, 2004

Hello Everybody,

     We are in Paris for 5 days (3 concerts/2 off days). They are recording and filming the first 2 nights for live DVD/Video. The Hotel Plaza Athenee (where we are staying) is where the last episode of "Sex and the City" was filmed. I hope I'm in the room where "Carrie & Big" stayed. Kostia will explain those characters to those who aren't familiar with the shows plot. He's such a big fan of the show. I think it's the clothes & the shoes!
     This hotel is so posh/snobby that they rudely questioned Leland & I when we came in one night whether we were guests of the hotel. After loud "F......U's.... & you elitist bastards" were exchanged (mainly by us of course) we were then allowed to proceed to the elevators. That night I received a bottle of chilled Champaign with 2 glasses in my room with an apology for "the inconvenience". I guess they think Leland and I are a couple since he didn't receive anything. I gave the Champaign to Ronnie(rhythm guitar) and his lady Melanie who is visiting for a few nights.

 
      Well that's Paris for now. I'll keep you all posted on any further incidences!

P.S. The first night Paris audience was fantastic as usual. They wouldn't be allowed in the hotel either I'm sure!
