Phil Collins Update : June 20, 2004 (Fathers Day)

Hello Everybody,

Today we are on our way to Brussels for a 3 day stay. We will be commuting to our other shows- Werchter,Belgium/ Leipzig,Germany / then a day off in Brussels.Such a luxury! We are doing a big outdoor festival tonight with other artists/groups. Mike & the Mechanics, Alicia Keys, & the Corrs are on the bill today. We are closing out the show tonight. Our start time is 10pm. It will be our shortest set length (90 minutes) due to a strict curfew. Typically we do around a 2 hour 15 minute show. We are dropping quite a few ballads tonight.

Last night we played to a 45,000 seat stadium in Amsterdam. "The Mechanics" were with us again which is always a pleasure. Mike's sons - Tom(23) & Harry(16) were there as was Phil's daughter Jolie (30ish) and Tony Smith's daughter Madeline(30ish). We all realized that most of the kids are older than we were when we started playing together in Genesis or other semi-popular bands. Everyone (Mike,Tony, & Phil) were in their mid to late 20's when I joined up with Genesis in 1978. Time fly's when your having fun! I'll keep you all posted on any interesting or uninteresting events that come up.

Bye for now! Daryl

P.S. "Happy Fathers Day" to all you Dads out there!!
